Thing & Fist vs. The City of St. Avalon is a two player local co-op action game. Find a buddy and brawl your way through the pernicious goons of St. Avalon as The Ubiquitous Thing, a long range, elusive and joyfully erratic wizard and Fist, an in your face, unstoppable bowling ball of a stone behemoth. These two strange, magical mobsters have dreams of huge piles of cash, and it's just the city between you two and your fortunes!
My role on the team was mainly the AI programmer. I joined this team part way through the project and was tasked with improving the enemy pathfinding and adding multiple new enemy types. My other tasks consisted of programming & implementing the dialogue system.
This was my first time joining a team after the concepting phase. I had to come in and take work that people had already done and in some cases adapt from it and in other cases completely rework it. It required me to look at the project and consider a lot more things than I had when I was working off code that was mostly my own. This was also the first time I had been on a long term project where I was not the lead programmer so I had to adjust to the new chain of command where I was reporting progress to my lead rather than having other people report to me what they had done.
